La Ballena is located at the southern end of Rota, close to the municipality border with El Puerto de Santa María. A wide, open beach with fine sand and a more exposed position. Popular with windsurfers and kite surfers due to its reliable winds. Algae accumulation tends to be lower here due to different current patterns near the Bay of Cádiz.
