Why do tides matter in Rota?

Unlike the Mediterranean, the Atlantic Ocean in Rota has significant tidal ranges (up to 3.5 meters). This changes the landscape of the beach every few hours.

Local Tip

The best time to visit the Punta Candor natural area or walk along the Corrales is exactly during the two hours before and after the low tide (Bajamar). Always keep an eye on the rising tide!
